Bennie Lee Mainor, Jr., better known as "Sweet" of 207 Colonial Drive, Byron, Georgia, died Saturday,  August 16, 2025, at Atrium Navicent in Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Mount Olive Church Cemetery in Warwick, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Bennie Lee Mainor, affectionately known to all as "Sweet," was born on January 17, 1980, in Worth County. A beloved figure in the community, Sweet brought joy and laughter to family and friends, often with a spirited shout or a cheeky remark. With a heart full of compassion and warmth, Sweet was known for creating beautiful memories with loved ones.

Sweet's journey in education led to earning a GED from  Albany Tech in Albany, Georgia, a testament to determination and perseverance. Early in life, Sweet found a spiritual home at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Warwick, Georgia, which became a pillar of support and faith.

Cooking and baking were among Sweet's cherished pastimes, always eager to share a delicious creation with family and friends. Sweet's culinary talents were a source of happiness, bringing people together over hearty meals and delectable treats.

Sweet's presence will be deeply missed, but the joy, laughter, and love shared will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know such a remarkable soul.  On August 16, 2025, Sweet departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Hamilton, and grandmothers, Alice Holmes and Mae Frances Mainor, Sweet's memory will forever be cherished by those who remain.

Sweet is survived by loving parents, Bennie Lee Mainor of  Byron, Georgia, and Brenda Mainor of Albany, Georgia; a godmother, Nancy Sutton of Ashburn, Georgia; cherished sisters:  Shirley Flowers of Cordele, Georgia, Pamela Redding of Fort Pierce, Florida, Arneka Smith (Charles) of Albany, Georgia, Annie Hamilton of Cordele, Georgia, Taquelia Mainor of Albany, Georgia, Trina Sutton of Ashburn, Georgia, Jasmine Perry of Albany, Georgia, and Shaquilla Woodson of Cordele, Georgia; beloved brothers:  Michael Smith of Albany, Georgia, David Smith (Sheena) of Cordele, Georgia, and Nickalus Mainor of Albany, Georgia; caring aunts and uncles: Reverend Nelson Mainor (Melinda) and Eddie Jean Brown of Cordele, Georgia, Sara White of Atlanta, Georgia, Ernest Mainor (Lorraine) of Albany, Georgia, and Irma Jean Johnson of Warwick, Georgia; nieces, nephews, and cousins: Jynickalus Mainor, Devontate Evans, Vantrecia Smith, Jahmir Jones, Kiena Sheppard, Rell Alexander, Dre Alexander, Crystal Alexander, Erskin Evans, Michael Smith, Joshalyn Smith, Mykel Smith, Sabrina Jackson, Terrence Hill, Peyton Smith, Demarkus Sutton, Khadarius Sutton, Zakiyah Mainor, Nelson Mainor, Jr., Jessica Williams, Amanda Ford, Samuel Mainor, Coliesha Jones, Kendreal Pruitt, Kimberly Brown, Irene Sheffield, and Latasha Brown, along with a host of other relatives.
