Mrs. Barbara Faye McIntee Goins of Atlanta, Georgia died Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the sanctuary of the Big Poplar Spring Baptist Church in Unadilla, Georgia. The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Mrs. Barbara Faye McIntee Goins was born February 3, 1963. She was born to the late Mr. Charlie McIntee and Ms. Lillie Tookes in Hawkinsville, Pulaski County, Georgia.
She received her education from the public school system. After the completion of high school, she became a nurse's aide.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life at the Big Poplar Spring Baptist Church. After moving to Atlanta, she united with the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church.
On Friday, February 2, 2024, one day before her birthday, she traded the cares of this life for a life free of pain and suffering.
Precious memories of her life will be cherished by her loving and devoted family, her husband, Mr. Authur James Goins; her children, Mr. Darius McIntee and Miss Darielle J. Goins of Atlanta, Georgia; her sisters, Mrs. Avon (David) Elms and Ms. Jeanette Tookes of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Charlie Louise Williams of Bainbridge, Georgia, Mrs. Sarah Frances Mofford and Mrs. Lillie Duhart Tukes of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mrs. Jackielyn (Alexander) Lewis of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Ms. Diane Whitfield of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Ms. Donna (Marcus) Howard of Bonaire, Georgia; her brothers, Mr. Lee Roy (Doris) Adams of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mr. Waymond McIntee of Vienna, Georgia, Mr. Charlie James (Linda) Rush of Covington, Georgia, Mr. Billy Joe (Cheryl) Whitfield of Decatur, Georgia, Mr. Willie Junior Whitfield of Vienna, Georgia, Mr. Jerome (Elesia) Whitfield of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mr. Telly Lamar (Joe Anna) Whitfield of Pineview, Georgia; her aunt, Mrs. Wheeler Mae Thomas of Hawkinsville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
