Mrs. Barbara Ann Emory Adams of 10567 Cemetery Road, Rochelle, Georgia, died Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the sanctuary of the Pitts Church of Worship Center in Pitts, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Piney Grove Cemetery in Rochelle, Georgia.

Barbara Ann Emory Adams was born on March 2, 1955, in Rochelle, Georgia, to Richard Emory, Sr. and Pearlie M. Newman Peavy. She was raised in a loving family and received her education in Wilcox County, where she attended Excelsior High School, which was later renamed Wilcox County High School.

A devout believer in Jesus Christ, Barbara was an active member of the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Rochelle, Georgia. She served her church community with dedication, participating as a member of the Usher Board and lending her voice to the choir.

Barbara was widely recognized for her warm heart and caring spirit. She was a devoted caregiver, providing love and support to her family and others in need. Her compassion was a defining trait, and she touched the lives of many through her selfless acts.

Known affectionately as Ms. B and Ms. DIVA, Barbara cherished her family and friends. She passed away on September 29, 2025, predeceased by her parents, her granddaughter Ca'DaJanique McNair, her siblings Mary Emory, James Emory, Charlie Emory, Marshall Emory, Calvin Emory, and Sammy Emory, as well as her grandparents Horace and Ella Bell Newman.

Barbara Ann Emory Adams lived a life full of love, faith, and  service. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the memories of her compassionate heart will remain with us forever.

Barbara's memory is lovingly cherished by her devoted husband, Glen F. Adams of Rochelle, Georgia; her loving children, Glenda McNair (Ricardo) of Rochelle, Georgia, Willie James Caruthers, Jr. of Pineview, Georgia, Glen S. Adams (Vetta) of Dooly County, Georgia, and Deion Adams of Ashburn, Georgia; 12 beloved grandchildren, including a devoted granddaughter, Demetria Emory of Bonaire, Georgia; three great-grandchildren;  her loving sisters, Dorothy Emory and Norma Emory of Rochelle, Georgia; her caring brothers, Eugene Emory of Fort Pierce, Florida, Billy Emory, and Jerome Emory of Rochelle, Georgia; her mother-in-law, Rutie Mae Adderley of Belle Glade, Florida; a special chosen sister, Mary McCormick of Ocilla, Georgia; a special chosen brother, Terry McCoy of Rochelle, Georgia; a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends will remember her fondly.
