Obituary

Ms. Autry Mae Patrick of 1612 South Tenth Street, Cordele, Georgia died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the home of her daughter.

Born in Cordele, Georgia and blessed with a smile that could light up any room and a heart filled with gentleness and love, Autry Mae Patrick was welcomed to this world on December 6, 1958.  Her birth was welcomed by her beloved parents, her mother, Mrs. Grace Adams Patrick and her father, the late Deacon Obie Patrick.

Autry was taught the importance of an education early in life as she grew up in the Crisp County Public School System.  She was a proud graduate of Crisp County High School.

She embraced the values and the importance of having a strong relationship with the Lord early in her life.  Through her commitment to Christ and to God's people, she humbly served as the Secretary of the Beautiful Zion Baptist Church.

Autry enjoy many wonderful things in this life, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren.  They were the light of her world.  She believed in keeping her nails well manicured.  When she wasn't at church, she enjoyed watching "The Andy Griffin Show" and completing Crossword puzzles.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, just as she heard the Lord's voice when she accepted him as her personal Savior, she heard his voice bidding her to "Come and Rest!"  While our hearts will  forever long to have her near, we rejoice in knowing that her earthly journey is complete and that she   has a home on high.

Precious and cherished memories are left to her loving her loving and devoted children, Mrs. Clemencia (Clifford) Henton and Mrs. Cakelia (Ronnie) Byron both of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Twyla Smith of Alexandria, Virginia, Ms. Kimberly Troutman and Mr. James (Alizabeth) Troutman, Jr. both of Cordele, Georgia; her loving grandchildren, Keishon Franklin, Kalicia Franklin, Kamora Byron, Kaden Byron, Torry Smith, Jr., Jadele Troutman, Kalani Troutman, Jamyia Troutman, Jvelz Troutman, and Quintavious Williams; her loving and devoted mother, Mother Grace Adams Patrick of Cordele, Georgia; her loving sisters, Mrs. Clara Woodard and Ms. Betty (Bridget) Savage both of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mrs. Sheila (Robert) Butts of Cordele, Georgia; her caring brothers, Mr. Karim (Raushanah) Ali of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mr. Arthur Patrick of Hollywood, Florida, Mr. Sam (Frances)  Savage of Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Gary Franklin, Mr. Wilbert (Verna) Franklin of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Lorinza (Angie) Patrick of Canada; a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a special friend, Mr. James Troutman of Cordele, Georgia.
