United States Army Veteran, Mrs. Annquinette Anderson Bryant of 1969 Laurel Lane, Decatur, Georgia died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at AmiCasa Hospice in Decatur, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia.
Our beloved Annquinette Anderson Bryant was born July 5, 1962 in Dooly County, Georgia. She was born to Thomas J. Anderson and Christine Byrd Anderson.
Early in her life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia.
Annquinette received her education from the public schools of Dooly County. She completed the courses necessary and was a proud 1981 graduate of Dooly County High School. While in high School she was an active member of the basketball team.
Upon the completion of high school, Annquinette enlisted in the United States Army. She served her country for six years and received an Honorable discharge.
Along with her love of basketball, Annquinette loved people. She enjoyed being around people and possessed an infectious laugh.
On Tuesday, October 17. 2023, she peacefully transitioned from this life. Her father, Thomas, preceded her in death.
She leaves cherished memories to her loving family: her husband, Melvin Nelson of Decatur, Georgia; her children, Laquarillia (Evan) Ross of Virginia and Isaiah Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandson, Evan Ross, Jr. of Virginia; her mother, Christine Byrd Anderson of Vienna, Georgia; her sisters, Phoebe Parades of Vienna, Georgia and Claudethea Anderson of Warner Robins, Georgia; her brothers, Russell (Darnetta) Brown and Demetrius Passmore both of Vienna, Georgia, and Meshees Brown of Detroit, Michigan; her aunts and uncles, Raymond Anderson of Vienna, Georgia, David (Sylvia) Anderson of North Carolina, Harry (Mary) Anderson of Vienna, Georgia, Dr. Grace Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia, Steve Anderson of Gifford, Florida, and Alice Taylor Cobb of Realto, California; several nieces and nephews; many cousins, her close friends, Mary Adams of Vienna, Georgia and Frances Williams of Warwick, Georgia; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Cekethia Canady, Diana Black, and Regina Williams all of Vienna, Georgia, and Commissioner Vesta B. Shephard of Cordele, Georgia.
