Ms. Annie Ruth Williams of 1003 Westside Drive, Americus, Georgia died. Monday, January 1, 2024 at Pruitt Health Palmyra in Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Friendship Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.

A special and loving spirit was welcomed to this world on November 18, 1945 with the birth of our beloved Annie Ruth Williams.  She was born to George Williams and Agnes Hunt  Robinson.

The lessons taught while she was a student in the Sumter County School system were the foundation of her life.

Her love for the Lord was exemplified through faithful worship at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Always willing to share wisdom and give a loving smile, she could often be found listening to gospel music.

Known as the family "chief" cooking was not "just cooking," it was a form of art for her.  Her love for beautiful things only enhanced the love and joy she had for shopping.

While our hearts were truly broken when she transitioned on January 1, 2024, we rejoice in knowing that she is free from the cares of this life.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Nora Robinson; her brothers, Walter Robinson and Otis Williams; and a niece, Tracy Williams-Little.

Precious memories of her life are left to her children, whom she dearly loved, Martha Ann Williams of California, Patricia Elaine Ross, Carol Williams, Cherry M. Williams of Americus, Georgia, Elder Demetrice (Charles) Harvey of Bonaire, Georgia, and Debra J. Bush of Americus, Georgia; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; her devoted sisters, Josie Williams Latimore of Fort Valley, Georgia, Leola Williams and Shirley Robinson (Perry) Manning, and Apostle Carol Seay of Americus, Georgia, and Betty Robinson (Donald) Brown of Decatur, Georgia; her beloved brothers, Willie (Barbara) Robinson of Phenix City, Alabama and Clarence "Pop" Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; her nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to her; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Janie Fillingame and Rethel Yarbrough of Americus, Georgia.
