Mrs. Annie Mae Curry Peavy of 660 Stephens Street, Rochelle, Georgia died Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her residence.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Rochelle, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

On March 2, 1950, Mr. Floyd James Curry and Mrs. Mary Hill Curry, were blessed with the birth of  a daughter. They named her Annie Mae.

Born in Wilcox County, she received her early education from the Wilcox County Public School System.

She confessed hope in Christ and united with the Evergreen Baptist Church.

Her beautiful spirit, her loving and kind heart are the things she will be most remembered for.  She loved dancing and could out dance both of her daughters.  For many years and because of her genuine love for children, she baby sat for many of the families of the community.

On April 17, 2022 our beloved surrendered to the will of the Lord.  She transitioned from this life to life everlasting.  Her husband, Mr. Hayward Sonny Peavy, Jr. and her parents, each precede in death.  She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Mrs. Liza Bell Lawson, Mrs. Annette Hill, Mrs. Yvonne Curry Wright, Mr. C. L. Curry, and Mrs. Annie Bell Thompson.

Cherishing her life, she leaves precious memories to her loving daughters, Ms. Tresa Curry (Francisco) and Mrs. Mary Angela Dixon (Leon) of Rochelle, Georgia, and Ms. Shenna Griffin (Bobby) of Alapaha, Georgia; a loving stepchildren, Mr. Kenneth Buckle and Ms. Consuella Jones; her grandchildren, Mr. Derrio Curry, Mr. Rontrevis Curry (Bre'Anna), Ms. Keirra Lewis, Ms. FranTresa Parra, Mr. Francisco Parra, Ms. Anglitha Dixon, and Mr. Laith Parra; her great grandchildren, Derrio Curry, Jr., Jontez Buckle, Derrion Curry, Ja'Laya Curry, Rontrevis Tidwell, Layla Curry, Ja'Cara Tidwell, Jaiden Middleton, Kynslee Jenkins, Karson, Stephens, and her little sweetheart, Ratravious Manning; her loving sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva Mae McKinney; her two favorite nieces, Mrs. Lavonne Ann West and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Curry; a special great niece, Ms. Fatia Cheese; her loving friend, Mr. E. C. Childs; her loving boyfriend, Mr. Robert Bo Smith; a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins, other  relatives and many sorrowing friends.
