Mrs. Annie Lee Williams Collins of 707 Joe Wright Drive, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, June 11th at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
A beautiful, kind, and loving spirit was welcomed to this world on October 5, 1941. Our beloved mother, Annie Lee Williams Collins was born to Mr. George Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Williams in Warwick, Worth County, Georgia.
She was educated in the public school system.
A true believer in the word of God in every way, Mother Collins faithfully served God and God's people as a member of the Servant Church of God and Prophecy under the leadership of Pastor Shakita Anderson and Elder Terry Anderson. Her light and her witness were always evident.
On Saturday, June 11, 2022, our beautiful, kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend was set free. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Ms. Ella Mae Collins; her grandsons, Mr. Steven Lester and Mr. Carlton Lester; and her sister, Mrs. Verna Pittman.
Her earthly journey will be remembered by her loving and devoted children, Mr. Willie Collins, Jr., Ms. Shari C. Lester, and Mr. Subrabian Collins, Sr. all of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Reginald Williams of Boca Raton, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; her loving sisters, Mrs. Melvin Clark, Mrs. Ilene Payne, Mrs. Lillie (Alonza) Hayes, Ms. Lillian McCain, and Mrs. Annie (Johnny) Simmons all of Cordele, Georgia, Mrs. Rachel (William) McLean of Orlando, Florida, Ms. Bessie Cummings of Washington County, Georgia, and Mrs. Joann (Jeremiah) Wooten of Warner Robins, Georgia; her beloved brothers, Mr. John (Cindy) Williams of Albany, Georgia and Mr. George Williams, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
