Obituary

Mr. Andrew Lawrence O'Neal of 16 Earl Court, Columbus, Georgia died Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

The  graveside funeral service to be attended by the immediate family ONLY will be held Saturday,  May 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele,  Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

On December 23, 1962, Mr. George Edward O'Neal, Sr. and Mrs. Jennie Mae Barnes welcomed a son to this world. Born in Dublin, Georgia, they named their blessing, Andrew Lawrence O'Neal.

Andrew was educated in the public school system.  He attended Charles R. Drew, Pine Villa, Mays Junior High School and Southridge Senior High.  He went on to attend Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, Florida.  Andrew also became a Certified Carpenter during his studies at Jacob's Creek Job Corp in Bristol, Tennessee.

Realizing a desire to have a closer walk with the Lord, he united with the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Miami, Florida.

Andrew was good at so many things.  He busied himself as a sanitation worker, maintenance man, caregiver and cyclist.  He also enjoyed landscaping and carpentry.

On Friday, April 16, 2021, he transitioned from this life.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephews, Mr. Joshua O'Neal and Mr. Anthony Farrow.

He will forever be remembered by his beloved sons, Mr. Anthonio (Toya) O'Neal, Mr. Andrew L. O'Neal, Jr., and Mr. Larry D. O'Neal all of Miami, Florida; 12 grandchildren; his loving sisters, Mrs. Dianne (Shon) Bridges, Ms. Brenda Farrow, and Mrs. Yvonne (Tracy) Cannady all of Cordele, Georgia; his beloved brothers, Mr. George E. O'Neal, Jr. of Georgia, Mr. Arthur (Banite) O'Neal, Sr., Mr. Gregory O'Neal, Mr. Marko O'Neal, and Mr. Marty O'Neal all of Miami, Florida, and Mr. Wallace Farrow of Cordele, Georgia; his aunts and uncle, Mrs. Rubye L. O'Neal, Mrs. Kathleen Strachan, and Mrs. Lois O'Neal all of Miami, Florida, Mrs. Lilian Mitchell of Miramar, Florida, Mrs. Willie Mae Williams of Valdosta, Georgia, and Mr. Tommy Barnes of Macon, Georgia;  his beloved second mother, Mrs. Alice Bruner and Family; his nieces and nephews, Diane, Latoya, Shon Jr., Antonio, Taraji, Aniylah, Leyonda, Quakeidra, Marco, Arthur Jr., Undrica, Jasmine, Doris, Noris, Sherry, Travis Jr., Sa'Maya, Da'Marcus, Da'Maudre, Da'Maria, Da'Monti, Da'Mayla, Da'Marly, Tierra, Yoshia, Marquel, Da'Jon, Tah'son, Travis, Courtney, Andre, Ayonna, Alylissa, and Lil Q; a host cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
