Mr. Alvin Chester Rouse of 410 West 17th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Alvin Chester Rouse was born October 27, 1954. He was born in Crisp County, Georgia to the late Christine Bell Reid and the late Louis Cross.

A 1973 graduate of Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia, he was affectionately known to his family and  friends as "Skeet."

He accepted Christ and worshiped at the Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Alvin was a devoted husband to Ann Denise Jones Rouse for 49 years.

Alvin was an employed by the Crisp County School System for 44 years. Aside from his love for children, Alvin enjoyed gardening and fishing.

On Friday, January 14, 2022, Alvin surrendered to the will of the Lord. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Walter Reid, his sister Sheryl McDonald, and his sons Korey Jones and Carey Jones.

His life journey will be cherished by his beloved and devoted wife, Ann Denise Jones Rouse; his brothers, Elijah Rouse of Cordele, Georgia, and Sim Reid of Fayetteville, Georgia; his son, Kavon Jones of Cordele, Georgia; his granddaughters, Carlencia Jones and Cardasia Jones of Warner Robins, Georgia, K'ori Jones and Ar'mani Mumphrey of Cordele, Georgia; his grandsons, Vantavious Williams Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia, Kavon Jones, Jr., Kareem Jones, Jaquese Hicks, Jr., Ar'hyan Jones, and Ar'Jaylin Jones all of Cordele, Georgia; his caring and devoted nieces, Kenya (Spratacus) Wilson of Cordele, Georgia, Keeshia Willingham, Christine Reid, Gabrielle Coleman, Paige Coleman and Skylar Coleman all of Atlanta, Georgia, and Maya Gray of Cordele, Georgia; his beloved nephews, Micah Williams of Atlanta, Georgia and Aaron Reid, III of Fayetteville, Georgia; an aunt, Pearl Reid of Cordele, Georgia; his in-laws, Ruby Jones, Jeanette Jones, Christine Gaines, and Gloria Jones all of Cordele, Georgia, Lester Jones of Cordele, Georgia, Tony (Veatrix) Jones of Lithonia,  Georgia, Joe C. (Jackie) Jones of San Antonio, Texas; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends to include a special friend, Calvin "Rat" Smith of Cordele, Georgia.
