On a beautiful day of love, February 14, 1956, we were blessed with the birth of Alisa Bernadetta Telfair bka "Sweet."  Born in Cordele, Georgia, the oldest of two girls to the late Annie Telfair Hollis and the late Marvin Hollis Jones.

Very well educated in the Crisp County School System, Alisa was a proud class of 1974 graduate of Crisp County High School.  She wanted to be a pilot, but things changed for her when she had take care of her mother, who became ill.  She was a part of many clubs and organizations throughout her years of education.

Alisa loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the church.  During her early years she studied the Bible and knew she had to do what was right.  Alisa was added to the Body of Christ at 13th Street South Church of Christ, which is now Hilltop Church of Christ.

After being chased around A. S. Clark School by a young boy, Alisa saw this young man again many years later and they became one.  On December 27, 1980, she married the love of her life, Herman Williams.  They were completely inseparable until her last breath.  Alisa and Herman are blessed with three children, which are their pride and joy.

Alisa was very well known in Crisp County.  Her first job was at the  Diana Shop" as many you may know.  Then, she went on to Allied.  She also worked her way up to Assistant Manager at what was our local J. C. Penny's Store.  After they closed she decided to become a teacher.  So many kids loved, "Mrs. Williams."  After 18 years, she retired from the Crisp County School System.

On Thursday, September 7, 2023, our beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Cousin, and friend left this life to be pain free and to rest in the Arms of our Lord and Savior.  She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

Cherished and wonderful memories are left to her caring and very devoted husband, Herman Williams; her children, Jeffery (Latoshia) Walker, LeAnn W. (Roderick) Simmons of Cordele, Georgia and Chandra (Carlos Smith) Jones of Columbus, Georgia; her grandchildren, Destiny Walker, JaTeria Walker, Quay Walker, Kamerion Simmons, Kiya Simmons, Ka'Nequa Williams, and   Tiffany Williams; her great grand, Nylah; her sisters, Vivian Telfair of Cordele, Georgia and Sarah (Roosevelt) Sanks of Green Cove Springs, Florida; her uncles, Retired Fire Chief Augusta Telfair of Cordele, Georgia and Willie B.
