Mr. Abraham Smith, Jr. of 308 Bailey Road, Cobb, Georgia, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cobb, Georgia. The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Abraham Smith, Jr. was born on February 26, 1963, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, to loving parents Abraham Smith, Sr., and Ossie Mae Hardemon Smith. Raised in a nurturing environment, Abraham was educated in the public school system of Miami, which played a significant role in shaping his character and intellect.
Abraham's spiritual journey led him to embrace Christianity, becoming a cherished member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cobb, Georgia. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through times of joy and adversity alike.
Known for his gentle spirit and infectious laughter, Abraham had a deep love for simple pleasures. Television was a beloved pastime, offering him moments of entertainment and reflection. He also had an unwavering affection for ice cream, a treat that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Abraham is survived by a large, loving family who will continue to honor his memory: his loving and devoted siblings: Eddie Brooks, Jr. of Cobb, Georgia, Willie James Brooks (Charmaine) of Columbus, Georgia, Gloria Jean Smith Payne (John) of Nashville, Tennessee, Willie Smith, and Esther Hall; his caring nieces and nephews: Teresa (Derwin) Thomas, Eddie G. Brooks, Angela (Vincent) Green, Scottie (Sonya) Brooks, Mishunda (Rondy) Ford, Chris (Cassandra) Brooks, Latonya (Archie) Redmond, Eric Burris, Rubie Jackson, and Jermaine Davis; a host of cousins, caregivers, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
