Mr. Michael Anthony Hubbard of 134 Still Quarter Circle, Leslie, Georgia, died Sunday, June 7, 2026, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of St. John Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the  St. John Cemetery in Leslie, Georgia.

Michael Anthony Hubbard, affectionately known as "Mike" by his family and friends, was born on February 18, 1964, in Sumter County, GA, to the late Charlie Mitchell and Ada Mae Hubbard.

Mike was educated in the Sumter County School System and graduated from Union High School in 1984. Following graduation, he was employed by Minor Brothers Produce, where he worked faithfully for many years.

Mike believed in Jesus Christ and joined St. John Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia at an early age. He was known for his kind spirit, friendly personality, and the love he shared with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mildred Louise Hubbard and Minnie Mitchell; his grandfathers, Willis Hubbard Sr. and Charlie  Mitchell Sr.; a devoted uncle, Clarence Clete Mitchell; and several beloved aunts and  uncles.

A Message from Mike

To my children, though I may be gone from this world, my love for you transcends time and space. Marcus Clark, Shatara (Preston) Lucas, Michael Hubbard, Jr., Michael (Lashonda) Clark, Brodney (Shaquella) Clark, Courtney (Bianca) Sims, each of you has brought immeasurable joy and pride to my life.

You are my legacy, and if you carry the values, love, strength, and faith that I have installed in you, a part of me will always live on. Though I may no   longer be by your side, my love for you will remain with you forever.

Continue to love one another, support one another, and keep God at the center of your lives. Hold your heads high, walk in faith, and remember that no matter where life takes you, I am forever with you in spirit and in your hearts.

To my beautiful grandchildren, Iryanna and Ira Coley, Jakalyn and Julius Hill, Marquavious Clark, Mariah Glover, Brodney Clark Jr., Shamyra Clark, and Broquavious Clark, Camdan and Chandler Sims.

Each of you brought a special kind of joy into my life. From the moment you were born, you filled my heart with love, laughter, and pride. Being your grandfather was one of my greatest blessings, and the memories we shared will always be treasured.

Although I may no longer be here to watch you grow, know that my love for you will never leave. Carry yourselves with kindness, respect, and faith. Work hard, dream big, and never be afraid to be the wonderful people God created you to be.

To my beloved siblings both in blood and bond, Gwendolyn (Johnny) Davis, Cornelius (Daisy) Hubbard of Leslie, GA, Terry Hubbard of Little Rock, AK, Cynthia Dozier of Jacksonville, FL, Wanda (James) Biggins and Carolyn Mays Owens of Americus, GA.

As I leave this earthly life behind, I want each of you to know how much you have meant to me. We shared a bond that only siblings can truly understand—a lifetime of memories, laughter, lessons, challenges, and love. Through the years, we stood together through good times and difficult moments, and for that I will always be grateful.

As you continue life's journey, I pray that you remain united, cherish one  another, and keep our family's legacy alive. Lean on each other in times of need, celebrate one another's joys, and never forget the values that were instilled in us by our parents.

To my beloved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,  Mildren Hooks of Columbus, GA; Buelah (James) Jackson of Americus, GA; Emma Jean Hubbard; Essie Mitchell of Leslie, GA; Doshia Watts of Columbus, GA; Emma Mitchell of  Buffalo, NY; Willie Mitchell of Hartford, CT; and Barbara Mitchell, Bobbie Mitchell, Eva Mitchell, and Miranda Mitchell, all of Americus, GA.

As I take my rest, I want to express my deepest love and gratitude to each of you. Throughout my life, you have been more than relatives—you have been sources of wisdom, guidance, encouragement, and love. Your presence helped shape the person I became, and for that, I will always be thankful.

Thank you for the advice you shared, the prayers you offered, the family  traditions you helped preserve, and the love you extended throughout the years. The memories of family gatherings, conversations, laughter, and    fellowship will forever remain close to my heart.

To my nieces and nephews: Continue to support one another, stay close as family, and never forget where you come from. Life will bring challenges, but it will also bring many victories. Face each day with strength, faith, and determination, knowing that you are loved beyond measure. Always hold on to the values of respect, kindness, and hard work. Look out for one another, celebrate each other's successes, and keep our family bond strong through every season of life.

A special acknowledgement and heartfelt gratitude go to Beverly "Pig" Davis. Your love, support, and presence have meant more than words can express. Thank you for standing close, showing care, and being a steady part of my life's journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Uncle loves you!

To my devoted nephew, Demetrius "Meko" Hubbard, thank you for the love, loyalty, and support you showed me throughout my life. You were always there when I needed you, and I will forever cherish the bond we shared.  Continue to walk with strength, faith, and determination. Keep our family close and always remember how much I loved you.

To my devoted Friends/ Devoted Cousins, Kelvin Williams, Alonzo Pace, Sonny Jones, James Revel, and Lois Clark, Robert Williams Sr, Anthony Walker,  as you continue life's journey, I pray that God blesses each of you with peace, comfort, and continued strength. Please continue to love and support one another, cherish the bonds of family, and keep our  family legacy alive for future generations. Taurus Hubbard, Greg Hubbard, Narda Hubbard, Mark Hubbard, Phyllis Jackson, I pray that you continue to stay close, support one another, and keep the bond we built alive. Life will bring changes, but true connections like ours never fade. Hold onto the    values of respect, love, and unity, and never forget the importance of family and friendship.

And Lastly, To the original BOC BOYS, thank you for being part of my journey and for making life richer with your friendship and presence. The memories we created together will live on long after I am gone. Our bond was more than family; it was friendship, brotherhood, and a shared history filled with memories that I will always hold close to my heart. Through every season of life, you stood by me in ways that words can hardly express. We shared laughter, lessons, struggles, and triumphs, and those moments created a connection that time can never erase. I will forever be grateful for the loyalty, love, and support you showed me throughout the years. As you continue forward, I pray that God blesses each of you with peace, strength, and continued guidance. Hold onto one another, continue to support our  family, and never forget the bond we shared. Though I may no longer walk beside you, my love, respect, and gratitude remain with you always. When you think of me, remember the good times, the laughter, and the brotherhood we built.

If you have read this, know that I loved each of you more than words could ever express. Though my journey on earth has come to an end, my love for you will never fade. I thank God for allowing me to share my life with such wonderful people who brought me joy, laughter, and countless memories. I've gained my wings, I've flown away!
