Mr. Jerome Brown of 2106 South Seventh Street, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a. m. in the sanctuary of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery in Pinehurst, Georgia.

Mr. Jerome Brown was born November 9, 1954 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He was born to the late Deacon Joe Brown, Sr. and the Mrs. Essie Coney Brown.

At an early age he accepted Christ and united with the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia. He most recently united with Ministry With A Vision.

For over 30 years he was employed by Clary Logging Company. He was also a member of the Black Duster Motorcycle Club.

On Saturday, December 21, 2013, Jerome peacefully transitioned from this life to life eternal. His transition came while he was a patient at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. His parents, along with his siblings, Joe and Diane precede him in death.

He leaves cherished memories to his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Vera Brown of Cordele, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Ms. Calisha Linder, Deacon Terry Lango and his wife, Mrs. Waunjeka Lango, Ms.Tiyonda Brown, Mrs. Angela Walker and her husband, Mr. Tyrone Walker, and Mr. David Linder all of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Henry Lenon of Springfield, Illinois, Mrs. Trena Grimmage and her husband, Mr. Quincy Grimmage of Orlando, Florida, Mrs. Shalondra Smith and her husband, Mr. Samuel Smith of Mt. Dora, Florida, and Mr. Jermaine Worthy of Cordele, Georgia; 21 grandchildren, Kadejiah, Valdis, Karlisha, Demarcus, Chrisharra, Kasie, Lamaiyah, Terrelle, Tray, Tia, Davineshia, T. T., Quay, Katessa, Kazon, Kaniesha, Karissa, Kanija, Lil.Quincy, Kadell, Cre’shawn, and Sania; two loving sisters, Ms. Thelma Brown and Ms. Bettye Wilson both of Cordele, Georgia; two beloved brothers, Mr. Freddie Brown of Live Oak, Florida and Mr. Dayell Brown of Cordele, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Daisy Patterson and Ms. Betty Clay both of Champaign, Illinois; his brothers brothers-in-law, Mr. Jimmy Lenon, Mr. Sylvester Lenon, Mr. Jerry Lenon, Mr. Benajmin Lenon, Mr. Randall Brasher, Mr. Rondall Brasher, and Mr. Keith Brasher; three aunts, Mrs. Lula Bell Wilson of Long Branch, New Jersey, Mrs. Willie Mae Hill of Tampa, Florida, and Mrs. Carrie Coney of New York, New York; several caring nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Mr. Robert Clary, “Hollywood,” Mr. Charlie Spivey, Ms. Tawaina Porter, and Mr. Jerry Sercer.
