Deacon George Ford, Sr. was born January 27, 1938 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mr. Eugene Ford, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rosa Mae Sanders Ford.
As a child, Deacon Ford attended the Niles Chapel Baptist Church School until the fifth grade. However, he took advantage of every opportunity to learn and increase his knowledge.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Milldale Baptist Church. He was ordained as a Deacon and served faithfully. He later moved his membership to Niles Chapel Baptist Church. He served as Chairman of the Deacon Board until his health failed. In addition to his work at the church, he was also a member of The Gospel Aires.

On December 26, 1961, he was joined in holy matrimony to Sister Nadine Williams Ford. They, along with their 15 children, shared their lives together until her passing on April 28, 2013. Although we are saddened that we no longer have them here, we rejoice in knowing that they are together again.
